I've been married for about 2 and a half years now and I'm the father of an exceptional and beautiful 2yr old bi-racial little girl.  The last few years have been tough for me professionally, but I can honestly say that when my daughter greets me with an explosive "Daddy" and a big hug, my heart melts and the worries of the world fade away.  Being the best father that I can be to her is my passion and the motivational force that drives me in everything that I do.  This site is a forum for sharing knowledge, experiences and resources to help us all be the fathers we strive to be.

I have been divorced for almost 2 years now and have custody of my 5yr old son, Dylan. We have adjusted well to depending on one another and yes there are times when I look to him for comfort. I am currently enrolled in school after the job I had known for close to 12 years was taken away and the building shut down. I find myself studying harder than ever as I now have someone for whom I want to provide a better life. The most satisfying part of my week is picking him up from school and getting a loving hug that never gets old and 7 am wake up calls. Look for my posts on the triumphs and struggles of being a single dad in today’s ever changing world.

The difference between then and now is that we don't expect Homer to have the answer that makes it work-out at the end of the day. So Dad number4 is your dad with answers. He'll go by the name Norman and he may be a professional of nothing so you'll have to take what he says with a grain of salt. Of course, wisdom only exists to those who get it so lets hope we all trip over some of it along the way.
